Position Responsibilities
1. Sports Partnerships & Sponsorships
Own ZUS’s sports partnership agenda end to end — clubs, athletes, federations, sports bodies and major events — from first pitch to signed agreement.
Build and own a live pipeline across football, racquet sports (badminton, padel, pickleball, squash), running, fitness (HYROX, gyms) and motorsport, so we are always three activations ahead instead of scrambling for the next one.
Negotiate sponsorship and in-kind terms — rights, deliverables, product supply, activation access, exclusivity and renewals — and work with Legal to close agreements.
Build the business case for every deal: costings, value-in-kind, projected sales uplift, and a clear post-campaign read on ROI.
2. #HADIR: Athletes, Communities & Culture
Bring the #HADIR narrative to life by putting athletes and their stories at the centre — athlete ambassadors, athlete-led product drops, and content that celebrates the people behind the sport.
Turn one-off sponsorships into repeatable formats: pre-run coffee, finish-line activations, club perks, team tie-ups, and community rituals people come back for.
Scout emerging sports communities (run clubs, padel, HYROX, university and grassroots sport) before they go mainstream, and bring ZUS in as a genuine participant — not just a logo on a banner.
Work with Operations and store teams so on-ground activations run smoothly, including weekends, event days and venue pop-ups.
3. Government, Sports Bodies & Events
Build relationships with national and state sports councils, government agencies and sports associations, and partner with them on national events and athlete programmes.
Plan ahead around the national and regional sports calendar (e.g. SEA Games, SUKIPT, international events hosted in Malaysia) and turn key moments into ZUS campaigns.
Work closely with internal creative, product, marketing and commercial teams to launch sports campaigns, merch and limited-edition drinks.
4. Project Management & Execution
Project manage sports partnerships and activations from A to ZUS: briefings, timelines, approvals, on-ground execution, and post-mortems.
Own the critical path. Build backward timelines, flag risks early, and escalate before a deadline turns into a fire.
Keep one source of truth on status, owners, and next actions for every live project.
Track performance (sales uplift, app sign-ups, redemptions, reach) and share learnings in a monthly sports update so we keep levelling up.
5. Partner & Relationship Management
Maintain strong working relationships with clubs, athletes’ management, federations and event organisers — making sure contractual deliverables are met and renewals and upsell opportunities are captured.
Act as a day-to-day point of contact for partners, handling feedback, updates, and next steps professionally.
Represent ZUS on the ground at matches, races, events, and community activations.
