Responsibilities

  • Define and update specific quality procedures, instructions, and tools within the designated technical expertise area.
  • Handle, review, and evaluate product complaints in accordance with established procedures.
  • Support the execution of the Supplier Quality Management program, assessing the current supplier base and identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Assist in evaluating and measuring product development and deployment processes.
  • Liaise with external parties related to factory operations, e.g. customer, (audits, product development, complaint etc. For dealing with health authorities, JAKIM Officers and other regulatory authorities, provide assistance to the Regulatory Officer as and when required.
  • Responsible in ensuring HAS were updated, well implemented according to the latest Halal circular and company practice.
  • To coordinate Halal training accordingly.
  • To handle all Halal related activities involves My e-Halal application new and renewal applications
  • Review, investigate, and troubleshoot product concerns reported by retailers and customers.
  • Implement corrective actions and document outcomes accordingly.
  • Effectively handle product complaints and manage the complaint processing.
  • Compile all relevant QA activities on a scheduled basis for management review.
  • Manage document management systems and ensure proper documentation.
  • Write reports to document deficiencies and errors in products.
  • Monitor and drive appropriate actions and continuous improvement activities as assigned.
  • Pay attention to detail and ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Ensure products meet customer expectations based on company objectives.
  • Perform any other special project/ task assigned by superior/ management.

Requirements

  • At least a Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science and Technology, Engineering, or related disciplines.
  • Preferably have a minimum of 1 year of working experience in quality control and quality assurance management in the F&B chain industry or restaurants.
  • Have Certified Halal Executive registered under Halal Professional Board (HPB).
  • Formal background or training in technical areas relevant to product safety standards (HACCP/GFSI).
  • Familiarity with the Food & Beverages and FMCG Industry.
  • Possess own transportation and willing to travel.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards, quality assurance terminology, implementations, methods, and tools.
  • Technical knowledge and hands-on experience in handling certification audits such as HACCP is preferred.
