Regional Design Innovation Specialist  

Position Responsibilities
The Design Innovation Specialist is responsible for driving creative excellence and innovative design solutions across Design & Build projects. This role combines conceptual thinking, design development, research, and collaboration to create functional, aesthetically compelling, and commercially viable environments that align with company’s objectives and project requirements.in retail or F&B construction—ideally within a fast-paced coffee or food & beverage environment.

Design Innovation & Concept Development

  • Develop innovative design concepts and creative strategies for interior, architectural, and built-environment projects.
  • Research emerging design trends, materials, technologies, and sustainable practices to enhance project outcomes.
  • Generate creative solutions that balance aesthetics, functionality, budget, and constructability.
Project Design Development
  • Translate client briefs into compelling design proposals, presentations, and visualizations.
  • Prepare concept boards, mood boards, space planning layouts, and design documentation.
  • Collaborate with design, technical, and project teams to ensure seamless integration of design intent into project execution.
Client Engagement
  • Participate in client meetings, workshops, and presentations.
  • Present design concepts and provide professional recommendations based on project objectives.
  • Incorporate client feedback while maintaining design quality and innovation standards.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with project managers, architects, engineers, quantity surveyors, and construction teams.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to evaluate innovative materials, finishes, and products.
  • Support value engineering initiatives without compromising design integrity.
Continuous Improvement
  • Champion a culture of creativity and innovation within the Design & Build department.
  • Maintain a library of design inspirations, materials, and best practices.
  • Identify opportunities to improve design processes, workflows, and project delivery

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Industrial Design, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in design, interior fit-out, architecture, or Design & Build projects.
  • Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, Enscape, Lumion, or similar tools.
  • Strong conceptual thinking, visualization, and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standards.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
