Regional Executive, Automation Business Analyst (Process & Data)

Position Responsibilities

The Automation Business Analyst works directly with business teams to map current processes, uncover root causes and quantify operational pain using data. The role delivers light solutions using Lark Base and similar tools or prepares robust requirements for structural solutions developed by Tech. The analyst also supports testing, go-live and outcome validation while maintaining trusted documentation as the single source of truth.

Process Discovery & Analysis
  • Shadow partner teams and conduct workshops to understand current processes, pain points, exceptions and root causes.
  • Document current-state workflows, handoffs, systems, controls and effort involved.
  • Establish quantified baselines for time, cost, volume, errors and service impact.
  • Identify opportunities for process simplification, standardisation and automation.
Requirements & Documentations
  • Translate findings into clear business and functional requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Prepare recommendation papers comparing quick-win and structural solution options.
  • Maintain process maps, SOPs, decision logs and the registry of automation ownership and status.
  • Ensure requirements remain traceable from the original problem through testing and delivered outcome.
Light Builds & Quick Wins
  • Build practical quick-win solutions using Lark Base, forms, workflows, dashboards, spreadsheets and approved low-code tools.
  • Pilot solutions with affected teams, gather user feedback and iterate before wider rollout.
  • Apply appropriate controls, documentation and handover standards to every solution.
Testing & Quality
  • Prepare test scenarios and coordinate UAT and post-verification testing.
  • Log, track and validate defects with developers or vendors before go-live.
  • Confirm that the delivered solution meets acceptance criteria and solves the agreed business problem.
Data Analysis & Reporting
  • Analyse operational and process data using SQL, Excel and BI tools.
  • Quantify potential and realised benefits, including time saved, cost avoided, error reduction and adoption.
  • Contribute to ABP portfolio dashboards, prioritisation and status reporting.
Implementation and Follow-Through
  • Support change communication, user onboarding and production handover.
  • Track risks, issues, dependencies and action items through closure.
  • Keep initiatives open until the business owner confirms that the original problem has been resolved.
Success Measures
  • Every engagement begins with an accurate process map and credible quantified baseline.
  • Quick wins are delivered within days or weeks where appropriate.
  • Structural projects reach Tech with clear, testable and development-ready requirements.
  • Defects are identified during testing rather than after go-live.
  • Documentation is complete, current and trusted as the single source of truth.
  • Delivered solutions produce measurable improvements and sustained adoption.

Qualification and Experience

  • Degree in Business, Analytics, Computing or a related discipline.
  • 2 - 4 years of experience as a business analyst, data analyst, process analyst or similar role.
  • Strong process-mapping, requirements-gathering and user-story-writing skills.
  • Hands-on UAT and test-coordination experience, including defect tracking with developers.
  • Proficiency in SQL and Excel, with experience using a BI tool such as Tableau, Power BI or Qlik.
  • Comfortable working in Agile environments with both business stakeholders and engineering teams.
  • Strong written communication and structured documentation skills.
  • Experience supporting project and product delivery from discovery and requirements definition through backlog management, testing, implementation and post-launch validation.
  • Strong understanding of product management fundamentals, including user needs, problem statements, product requirements, prioritisation, minimum viable products and outcome measurement.
  • Practical experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment, collaborating with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, developers, testers and business stakeholders.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into structured epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows and prioritised backlog items.
  • Familiarity with Scrum activities such as backlog refinement, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews and retrospectives.
  • Experience supporting project plans, milestones, dependencies, risks, issues and stakeholder communications.
  • Ability to validate whether delivered features solve the original user and business problems through UAT, adoption data and post-implementation reviews.
