Regional Business Analyst, Automation Business Partner

Position Responsibilities

ABP is ZUS Coffee's internal AI/Automation team. We build AI and automation products that change how 800+ outlets operate: demand planning, ops workflows, supply chain, retail P&L. This is not a reporting role. The Junior Business Analyst joins as a builder-analyst hybrid: half diagnosing business problems with data, half shipping working solutions with the team. You will see how a company that went from startup to Malaysia's largest coffee chain in five years makes decisions, and you will be in the room for some of them.

Product ownership (core)
  • Own one AI/automation product line end to end within the first year: problem discovery, requirements, build, rollout, adoption tracking
  • Define success metrics for your product and report results directly to leadership
Business analysis
  • Map and analyze operational processes across outlets, supply chain, and HQ functions
  • Translate business problems into structured requirements and data questions
  • Analyze outlet-level and P&L data to size opportunities and measure impact
Build and prototype
  • Develop prototypes, dashboards, and automations using Python, SQL, and AI tooling
  • Run UAT and iterate with real users (outlet staff, ops managers) before scaling
Innovation pipeline
  • Dedicate allocated time per cycle to internal venture bets under the ABP incubator track
  • Pitch, test, and validate new product concepts with company data and resources

Qualification and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in a science, technology, or quantitative field; strong academic record
  • Working knowledge of Python and SQL; comfort learning new tools fast
  • Ability to analyze data rigorously and communicate findings to non-technical stakeholders
  • High ownership: wants to build and ship, not only recommend
  • Fresh graduates encouraged to apply
  • Full-stack exposure (React, Node.js, or similar)
  • Hackathon/ datathon experience or evidence of self-driven building

a Necessity, not a Luxury
