Golang Developer

Position Responsibilities

  • Design and implementation of RESTful and gRPC services consumed by mobile and web clients
  • End-to-end service ownership: from requirements through deployment and production health
  • API contracts and versioning — ensuring consumers can depend on what you build
  • Data modelling and schema design across relational and caching layers
  • Integration with third-party services (payment gateways, notification platforms, logistics providers)
  • Performance and reliability of the services you own: latency, error rates, and throughput under load
  • Code review participation and contribution to backend engineering standards
1.Required Technical Skills
  • Strong proficiency in Go with production-grade experience building and operating backend services
  • Solid understanding of Go concurrency patterns: goroutines, channels, context propagation, and the failure modes that come with each
  • Hands-on experience designing RESTful APIs and/or gRPC services at production scale
  • Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL or MySQL) — schema design, query optimization, and migrations under a live system
  • Working knowledge of caching strategies and practical Redis experience
  • Experience with message queuing or event-driven systems (RabbitMQ, Kafka, or equivalent)
  • Practical experience with containerization and deployment (Docker, Kubernetes, or cloud managed services) Working knowledge of observability practices: structured logging, metrics, distributed tracing, and alerting
2.Required Engineering Collaboration Skills
  • Ability to design API contracts collaboratively with mobile and frontend engineers before implementation begins
  • Strong written communication —your technical decisions should be legible to both Product and Engineering
  • Comfort raising technical concerns early, not after a feature has been built the wrong way
  • Ability to work across team boundaries without needing to be directed at every step
  • Self-directed: able to assess scope, flag risks, and make implementation decisions independently

Qualification and Experience

  • 4‒7+ years of back end engineering experience with Go as your primary language
  • Demonstrated experience owning back end services end-to-end —not just contributing to them
  • Experience working in product-driven or startup environments where requirements evolve and priorities shift
  • Familiarity with API design as a discipline — understanding what makes an API good to build on, not just functional
  • Experience building backend systems for high-transaction consumer applications (ordering, payments, loyalty, or delivery)
  • Background in F&B, logistics, or operational-heavy consumer businesses
  • Hands-on experience with gRPC and Protocol Buffers in a production service-to-service context
  • Experience designing or operating microservices — service decomposition, inter-service communication, and managing the operational complexity that comes with distributed systems
  • Exposure to GraphQL or Backend for Frontend(BFF)patterns Experience with feature flags, A/B testing infrastructure, or gradual rollout systems Understanding of mobile API consumption patterns —what makes an API genuinely good to work with from a high-frequency client

a Necessity, not a Luxury
