Senior Business Analyst

Position Responsibilities:

To act as the primary liaison between diverse business units and technology delivery teams. This cross-functional role involves evaluating raw business initiatives, bridging project operational gaps, and assisting the Project Manager in solidifying a forward-looking technology road map and rapid initiatives with a strong emphasis on integrating and automation trends into modern business processes

  • Morning Sync-Ups: Kick off the day aligning with project leads and team members to review priorities, track progress, and unblock any issues impacting delivery.
  • Discovery &Problem Solving: Facilitate targeted discussions with business users and internal tech leads. You'll map out their current workflows, ask the tough questions to uncover their true pain points, and get everyone aligned on practical solutions.
  • Heads-Down Documentation: Translate those business discussions into clear, actionable documentation—authoring Functional Specifications (FSDs) or Product Requirement Documents(PRDs).
  • Structuring the Requirement: Break down high-level initiatives into granular user stories, equipping them with well-defined acceptance criteria so they are fully ready for the development team.
  • First-Line Gatekeeping: Actively filter incoming feature requests. If a business request does not align with the product roadmap, you will structure the data-backed recommendation for the PMO Lead to officially reject or deprioritize it.
  • Bridging Tech & Business: Work closely with the Scrum Master during back log grooming and sprint planning. You own the requirements content, explaining the business context to developers, clearing up confusion, and ensuring a steady pipeline of "ready for dev" tickets.
  • Driving UAT: Guide business users through User Acceptance Testing (UAT). You'll help them execute test scenarios, track bugs, and collaborate with developers to squash issues before the final release.

Key Responsibilities

1.Strategic Alignment, Project & Priorities Management
  • Project Deliverables & Solidification: Collaborate directly with the respective pillar's lead together with project managers to evaluate initiatives from various business pillars, translating them into a cohesive, actionable technology roadmap and projects.
  • Agile Backlog Prioritization: Translate core business opportunities into structured, agile deliverables. Manage and continuously prioritize the initiative backlog based on strategic business value, delivery dependencies, and changing operational priorities.
  • Strategic Initiative & Value Assessment: Evaluate cross-functional proposed initiatives to pin point high-ROI technology solutions that drive operational growth and efficiency. Translate these core business opportunities into structured, agile deliverables within the PMO back log, ensuring strict adherence to delivery governance.
2.Requirements, Process Engineering & Vendor Alignment
  • Requirements Elicitation: Facilitate requirement-gathering workshops to translate ambiguous business needs into comprehensive epics, user stories, and clear acceptance criteria.
  • Process Mapping & Gap Analysis: Conduct deep-dive "As-Is" and "To-Be" process mapping. Propose viable technology solutions, specifically looking at how AI tools can eliminate operational bottlenecks and systemic gaps across departments.
  • Vendor Management & Validation: Evaluate third-party software vendors to ensure fit for-purpose integrations. Post-development, validate vendor deliverables against documented business requirements to ensure they meet PMO quality standards before testing.
  • AI-Assisted Analysis: Leverage modern AI tools (e.g., Claude, Gemini, chatGPT and others LLMs) to accelerate requirement gathering, simple data analysis, and documentation processes
3.Stakeholder &Change Management
  • Cross-Functional Communication: Act as the central communication bridge between non-technical business units and technical execution teams, proactively resolving conflicting requirements/blockers.
  • Quality Assurance &Post-Live Adoption: Oversee the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) phase to ensure strict compliance sign-off and alignment with business requirements before deployment. Post-deployment, actively monitor system adoption metrics and user feedback to guarantee a successful operational handover and long-term value realization.
4.Continuous Improvement & Delivery Excellence
  • Business Risk & Ethics Identification: Proactively identify potential project risks, scope creep, and operational dependencies. Ensure data privacy and ethical guidelines are considered when scoping a project or any AI initiatives.
  • Post-Implementation Review: Co-facilitate structured project post-mortems focusing on requirement accuracy and business value realized, feeding lessons learned back into the backlog.
  • Delivery Maturity: Contribute to building the Delivery Excellence operating model over time by standardizing requirement gathering templates, workflow documentation and governance best practices.

Qualifications & Experiences

  • Experience: 4 to 6 years and above of proven experience as a Business Analyst in a highly agile, cross-functional environment.
  • Vendor & In-House Delivery: Proven experience writing technical requirements for both internal engineering teams and external software vendors/integrators.

  • Technical Proficiency: Expert in requirement mapping, workflow modelling, and project tracking software (e.g., Jira, Visio, Draw.io).
  • Communication: Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to push back constructively and align differing departmental priorities.
  • Advantageous: Professional certifications such as CBAP or PMI-PBA
