QA Regression / Manual QA

Position Responsibilities
We are looking for a QA Engineer focused on regression coverage and exploratory quality — the person who knows the product deeply enough to find what automated tests miss.
This is not a click-through-the-checklist role. This is a role for someone with strong product instincts who can think like a user, stress-test new features against real-world scenarios, and own the integrity of the regression suite.
You will be the last line of defence before releases reach customers — and the first voice to raise quality concerns before something ships.

  • Ownership and ongoing maintenance of the regression test suite (scope, coverage, and prioritisation)
  • Structured manual testing of new features, bug fixes, and cross-feature interaction risks
  • Exploratory testing across product surfaces: finding bugs that no one thought to write a test for
  • Test case library: authoring, versioning, and keeping it aligned with the evolving product
  • Bug reporting quality: well-structured, reproducible defect reports with clear severity and impact assessment
  • Release sign-off: owning the regression pass and communicating go / no-go confidence clearly
  • Cross-functional input into sprint planning on testability, edge cases, and QA timelines

Technical Skills

  • Deep experience in structured manual testing across mobile (iOS and Android) and websurfaces
  • Strong regression test design skills: equivalence partitioning, boundary value analysis, risk-based test prioritisation
  • Experience with test management tools (TestRail, Zephyr, Xray, Notion, or equivalent)
  • Solid bug reporting discipline: reproduction steps, environment details, severity classification, and clear impact framing
  • Comfortable with basic API testing tools (Postman or equivalent) for backend validation alongside UI testing
  • Understanding of release processes and what it means to sign off a build with confidence

Leadership Skills
  • Product intuition: ability to reason about user impact, not just test pass/fail counts
  • Confidence to raise a quality concern or block a release when the evidence warrants it —even under deadline pressure
  • Clear communication to both engineers (technical defect details) and Product / stakeholders(risk summary)
  • Ability to triage and prioritise during a high-volume regression cycle without losing coverageof high-risk areas
  • Collaborative enough to work closely with developers without becoming a gatekeeper whoslows things down

Experience
  • 3‒6+ years in QA with a strong manual and regression focus
  • Demonstrated ownership of a regression suite for a mobile or multi-platform product
  • Experience working directly with Product and Engineering in an agile or fast-moving environment
  • Track record of catching meaningful, user-impacting bugs before production
  • Exposure to test automation (even basic scripting or contributing to an automation framework)
  • Experience with accessibility testing
  • Familiarity with tools like Charles Proxy, BrowserStack, or Firebase Test Lab
  • Experience in consumer apps with high-frequency user interactions (ordering, payments, loyalty)
  • Experience participating in UAT AT coordination with business stakeholders
a Necessity, not a Luxury
