Specialist, Community (Event)  

Job Responsibilities:

Event Execution

  • Serve as on-ground crew for ZUS Experience catering events, ensuring smooth setup, service delivery, and teardown.
  • Support ROVER activations at bazaars, festivals, expos, and community events, including booth setup, sales execution, and merchandise handling.
  • Indirectly support ZUSahawan-related operational activities as required
  • Ensure consistent brand presentation, service quality, and customer experience at every event touchpoint.
Event Coordination & Logistics
  • Coordinate event logistics including manpower deployment, equipment readiness, raw material allocation, and on-site execution timelines.
  • Liaise with internal departments, vendors, and event organizers to ensure smooth operational delivery.
  • Manage event documentation, post-event reporting, and stock reconciliation.
Partner Coordination
  • Transition into a coordinator role as the business begins deploying ZUSahawan partners to represent ZUS at selected events
  • Identify, brief, and coordinate ZUSahawan partners assigned to event activations.
  • Provide on-ground supervision, quality assurance, and operational guidance to ZUSahawan partners during events.
  • Act as the bridge between the Event vertical and the ZUSahawan network to ensure seamless event delivery through partner-led execution.
Quality Assurance
  • Uphold ZUS brand standards across product quality, service delivery, and visual presentation at all events.
  • Identify operational gaps or inconsistencies and escalate them to the Assistant Manager for resolution.
Continuous Improvement
  • Provide feedback and suggestions to improve event SOPs, partner deployment models, and customer experience.
  • Contribute to the development of training materials and playbooks for future ZUSahawan event partners.

Qualification & Experience

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Business, Marketing, Communications, or related fields.
  • Possesses a valid driving license and willingness to travel for events across Klang Valley (and beyond, where required).
  • Physically fit and able to manage event-day demands (setup, standing duty, manual handling).
  • Minimum 1–3 years of relevant experience in event execution, F&B operations, hospitality, retail activations, or community-based roles.
  • Prior experience handling on-ground events, catering, booth operations, or partner-led activations is an added advantage.
  • Operational & Execution Skills
    • Strong hands-on execution mindset with the ability to deliver under pressure.
    • Solid organizational and time management skills, especially in fast-paced event environments.
    • Comfortable handling physical setup work, on-ground coordination, and last-minute problem solving.
  • Coordination & Communication
    • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to coordinate across crew, partners, vendors, and clients.
    • Clear and effective communication in both English and Bahasa Malaysia.
    • Ability to give clear instructions and feedback to on-ground partners and crew.
  • Customer Service & Brand Sensibility -
    • High level of customer service awareness & understands the importance of guest experience at events. -
    • Strong sense of brand consistency, presentation, and detail.
  • Behavioral Traits / Personalities:
    • Comfortable working flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays, depending on event schedules.
    • Self-starter attitude with the willingness to take ownership of tasks and outcomes.
