Senior Executive, Quality Assurance  

Position Responsibilities

1. Food Handler Training & Compliance (MOH Requirement)
  • Conduct Food Handler Training programs in accordance with Ministry of Health (MOH) Malaysia requirements.
  • Ensure all food handlers are properly certified and comply with statutory food safety regulations.
  • Maintain proper training records and certification tracking for audit purposes.
  • Manage licensing, renewal processes, and regulatory documentation related to the training centre.
2. Food Safety Training & Culture Development
  • Develop and deliver food safety training programs for retail teams.
  • Promote and embed a strong food safety culture across all levels of the organization.
  • Ensure training materials and practices are aligned with company SOPs and regulatory standards.
3. Food Safety Analysis, Continuous Improvement & Project Involvement
  • Identify gaps and risks in food safety practices across operations.
  • Conduct analysis on audit findings, incidents, and compliance reports to determine root causes.
  • Propose and implement improvement initiatives to strengthen food safety, training effectiveness, and operational excellence.
  • Support additional tasks and initiatives assigned by management in alignment with departmental goals
4. Cross-Functional Coordination & Communication
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders/authorities to support food safety initiatives.
  • Ensure clear and timely communication to facilitate smooth execution of training, audits, and improvement activities.
5. Outlet Audit & Compliance Monitoring
  • Conduct outlet regular audits across outlets to ensure compliance with SOPs and regulatory standards.
  • Identify operational gaps, non-conformities, and areas for improvement.
  • Follow up with relevant stakeholders to ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented effectively.
  • Other task / activities requested by superior.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Qualification and Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or any related field.
  • Certified Food Handler Trainer accredited by the Ministry of Health (MOH) Malaysia.
  • Possess Train-The-Trainer (TTT) certification will be an added advantage
  • Good command of Bahasa Malaysia and English, both written and spoken
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in food safety, food handling training, quality assurance or related operational roles within the food & beverage industry is preferred.
  • Experience in conducting food safety or food handler training sessions
  • Experience in outlet audit or operational assessment is preferred
  • Exposure to handling regulatory compliance and food safety documentation
  • Experience in coordinating with cross-functional departments and operational team
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively conduct training and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
  • Tech-savvy and proficient in utilizing digital tools to support training, reporting, and operational activities.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations, MOH food handling requirements
  • Understanding of HACCP, GMP, GHP, and basic food safety management systems
  • Knowledge of food hygiene practices and operational compliance standards
  • Understanding of audit processes, corrective actions, and continuous improvement practices
  • Basic understanding of retail outlet operations within the food & beverage industry is preferred
