Position Responsibilities:
Inbound Logistics Management:
- Coordinate and oversee inbound logistics activities, including transportation, customs clearance, and warehousing, to ensure timely receipt of raw materials, components, and finished goods.
- Collaborate with freight forwarders and logistics partners to optimize transportation routes, minimize costs, and enhance efficiency.
- Liaise with suppliers to place procurement orders, negotiate pricing and terms, and ensure timely delivery of materials and components in accordance with production schedules.
- Monitor supplier performance and address any issues or discrepancies to maintain quality standards and minimize disruptions.
Warehouse and Inventory Management:
- Utilize inventory management systems and implement demand forecasting strategies to optimize inventory levels and prevent stockouts or excess inventory.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to address any issues or discrepancies and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Establish and enhance warehouse management, QAQC and fulfillment SOPs with 3PL partners.
- Validate invoices of 3PL and forwarding partners and manage costs effectively.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost optimization within the supply chain and implement innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Staff Supervision & Training:
- Supervising and motivating warehouse staff: Assigning tasks, providing training, and addressing performance issues.
- Ensuring adherence to safety protocols: Implementing and enforcing safety procedures to create a safe working environment.
- Evaluating and developing team members: Identifying training needs and providing opportunities for growth.
- Managing performance and addressing conflicts: Coaching, mentoring, and resolving issues within the team.
Other Responsibilities:
- Maintaining a clean and organized warehouse: Ensuring that the warehouse is safe, efficient, and compliant with regulations.
- Managing budgets and costs: Controlling expenses and identifying opportunities for cost savings.
- Improving processes and implementing best practices: Continuously seeking ways to improve warehouse operations and efficiency.
- Communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders: Working with suppliers, customers, and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations: Staying up-to-date on industry standards and regulations.
