JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :
1. Inventory Management & Control:
Maintaining accurate inventory records: Ensuring that the warehouse management system (WMS) reflects the actual stock levels.
Conducting regular inventory checks and cycle counts: Identifying discrepancies and taking corrective action.
Managing stock levels: Forecasting demand, optimizing storage space, and preventing stockouts or overstocking.
Ensuring proper storage and handling of goods: Following best practices for storage, temperature control, and safety.
Managing inventory costs: Identifying opportunities to reduce costs while maintaining inventory accuracy.
2. Logistics & Shipping:
Coordinating inbound and outbound shipments: Planning, scheduling, and executing the flow of goods into and out of the warehouse.
Managing transportation logistics: Selecting carriers, negotiating rates, and ensuring timely and cost-effective deliveries.
Ensuring compliance with shipping regulations: Following all relevant rules and procedures for domestic and international shipments.
Tracking shipments and resolving issues: Monitoring the status of shipments and addressing any problems that arise.
Optimizing warehouse layout and processes: Streamlining workflows to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
3. Staff Supervision & Training:
Supervising and motivating warehouse staff: Assigning tasks, providing training, and addressing performance issues.
Ensuring adherence to safety protocols: Implementing and enforcing safety procedures to create a safe working environment.
Evaluating and developing team members: Identifying training needs and providing opportunities for growth.
Managing performance and addressing conflicts: Coaching, mentoring, and resolving issues within the team.
4. Other Important Responsibilities:
Maintaining a clean and organized warehouse: Ensuring that the warehouse is safe, efficient, and compliant with regulations.
Managing budgets and costs: Controlling expenses and identifying opportunities for cost savings.
Improving processes and implementing best practices: Continuously seeking ways to improve warehouse operations and efficiency.
Communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders: Working with suppliers, customers, and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
Ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations: Staying up-to-date on industry standards and regulations.
