Position Responsibilities

The Regional Product Data Admin is the single owner of product master data across all countries, ensuring:

• One source of truth
• BOM integrity
• Traceability from concept to launch and change
• Data governance discipline at scale

1. BOM Ownership & Maintenance (Primary Responsibility)

• Maintain regional master BOM for all products across all countries
• Ensure BOM accuracy across:

• Ingredients
• Specifications
• Quantities & yields
• Packaging components

• Manage country-specific BOM variants while preserving regional core
• Prevent unauthorized BOM changes
• Standardize BOM data ingestion and transformation processes to support multi-country operations with localization capabilities.

2. Single Source of Truth (SSOT)

• Establish and maintain the authoritative BOM repository
• Enforce version control and naming conventions
• Eliminate shadow files, local copies, and duplicated BOMs

3. BOM Governance & Change Control

• Own the BOM change governance process, including:
• Change request intake
• Impact assessment (cost, ops, supply, quality)
• Approval tracking
• Effective date management

• Ensure no BOM change goes live without:
• Documented reason
• Approved owner
• Clear effective date

4. Data Traceability & Auditability

• Maintain full traceability.
• Support internal audits and post-mortems
• Enable backward tracing (e.g. margin drop → BOM change → ingredient swap)

5. Cross-Functional Alignment

• Work closely with:
• Product
• Supply chain
• Finance
• Ops
• GTM / PMO

6. Country Support & Discipline

• Train country teams on:
• BOM usage
• Change request process

7. Data Quality & Risk Management

• Run periodic BOM audits:
• Missing fields
• Inconsistent units
• Mismatched suppliers
• Flag risks proactively:
• Cost volatility
• Supply substitution
• Margin erosion
• Escalate material risks to Regional Product

8. Confidentiality & Data Protection

• Enforce BOM access controls
• Ensure sensitive product data is:
• Shared strictly on a need-to-know basis
• Masked during testing phases
• Support HR / IT on data protection policies

9. System & Process Improvement

• Improve BOM workflows and tooling over time
• Support ERP / BI integration
• Standardize templates, fields, and definitions regionally

10. Product Performance Analysis, Portfolio Complexity & Impact Analysis

• Analyse how each product adds complexity
• Produce standardized product performance views such as:
• BOM cost vs sales performance
• Ingredient cost concentration by product
• Margin sensitivity to key ingredients
• Support Product / GTM with:
• Launch performance snapshots
• Early warning signals for underperforming products

Qualification and Experience

• Minimum 3 years experience as a Data Admin or Data Engineer or Architect roles
• Advanced proficiency in Excel / Google Sheets
• Lookups, pivots, structured tables, error checks
• Experience with ERP / PLM / product master systems preferred
• Familiarity with BI tools (e.g. Looker, Power BI, Tableau) is a plus
• Strong file and version control discipline
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Highly proactive, resourceful, and able to work independently in fast-growing environments
• Experience in regional or cross-border projects is a strong advantage
