Head of Supply Chain  

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :

Part 1 –Primary roles of the job which are measurable and may be used as part of KPIs

1. Strategic Supply Chain Leadership:

· Develop, implement, and manage end-to-end supply chain strategies to support the company’s growth objectives and ensure alignment with business goals.

· Lead, mentor, and oversee the performance of the supply chain team, including procurement, logistics, warehouse management, planning, and continuous improvement functions.

· Collaborate closely with senior management to forecast, budget, and plan for future product launches and expansions.


2. Procurement & Vendor Management:

· Oversee the procurement of raw materials and packaging, working closely with the Procurement Manager and executive to secure cost-effective and reliable supply sources.

· Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure consistent quality, delivery, and performance, while identifying cost-saving opportunities.


3. Demand Planning & Forecasting:

· Oversee demand planning functions, working with the Senior Demand Planner to create accurate forecasts based on sales data, market trends, and business goals.

· Ensure coordination between procurement and production teams to align supply with demand, mitigating stockouts and overproduction.


4. Warehouse & Logistics Management:

· Direct warehouse operations and logistics, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of products to both retail points and consumers.

· Work with the Warehouse & Logistics team to ensure inventory accuracy, proper storage practices, and efficient handling procedures.


5. Process Improvement & Optimization:

· Lead continuous improvement initiatives, focusing on cost reduction, process optimization, and operational efficiency.

· Collaborate with the Continuous Improvement Senior Executive to implement lean principles and best practices in the supply chain.


6. Cross-functional Collaboration:

· Work closely with the marketing, product development, and finance teams to ensure smooth product launches, inventory availability, and cost management.

· Support sales teams by ensuring the availability of products across all channels, and managing logistics for new store openings and promotional events.

7. Team Development & Leadership:

· Manage and support a dynamic team, including Senior Planners, Executives, and Fresh Grads, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning.

· Ensure the team has the necessary tools, training, and resources to perform their roles effectively.


JOB COMPETENCIES / REQUIREMENTS:

Qualification

- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience

- Minimum of 7+ years of experience in supply chain management, preferably within the FMCG or beverage industry.

Skills & Knowledge

- Proven leadership experience with a track record of managing cross-functional teams.

- Strong understanding of supply chain management principles, including procurement, demand planning, and logistics.

- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills with the ability to think strategically and execute tactically.

- Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools (ERP systems, forecasting software, etc.)
