Regional Manager, Product (UI/UX)  

PURPOSE / OBJECTIVE (OF THIS POSITION):

The incumbent will be responsible for overseeing the user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) strategy and execution across a specific geographic region. This role focuses on ensuring that the product's design is user-centric, intuitive, and aligned with regional market needs while adhering to group design standards. The Regional Manager, Product (UI/UX), works closely with cross-functional teams like product management, tech development, and marketing to enhance the overall product experience.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

UI/UX Strategy & Vision

  • Lead the development and execution of the regional UI/UX strategy, ensuring alignment with the Grou product goals and regional user needs.
  • Ensure that user interfaces are visually appealing, consistent, and meet regional customer preferences.
  • Advocate for user-centered design principles in product development and contribute to the overall product vision.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with regional product management, tech development, and marketing teams to align UI/UX initiatives with product objectives.
  • Work closely with the design and product teams to ensure consistent user experience across all regions while allowing for necessary regional adaptations.
  • Partner with data teams to gather user feedback, metrics, and insights to drive design improvements.

UI/UX Design Execution

  • Oversee the development of wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs for both web and mobile applications.
  • Ensure the delivery of designs that are both functional and aesthetically pleasing while meeting business and user needs.
  • Continuously iterate on designs based on user feedback and testing results to enhance the product experience.

User Research & Testing

  • Lead or coordinate user research initiatives, including user interviews and usability testing to gather insights into user behavior and preferences.
  • Analyze and interpret user feedback and data to refine design solutions and improve product usability.
  • Champion user empathy by ensuring design decisions are rooted in a deep understanding of regional user needs and pain points.

Design Quality & Standards

  • Define, document, and maintain design standards, patterns, and guidelines to ensure consistency across the regional product portfolio.
  • Ensure adherence to design quality, accessibility standards, and best practices.
  • Provide design mentorship and guidance to regional UI/UX designers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Performance & Reporting

  • Monitor and analyze the performance of UI/UX designs through metrics such as user engagement, conversion rates, and user satisfaction.
  • Report on design impact and provide recommendations for product and UX improvements to senior leadership.
  • Ensure timely delivery of design solutions that meet business goals and user expectations.


Qualification

  • 5–8+ years of experience in UI/UX design, with at least 2–3 years in a leadership or managerial role.
  • Degree in Design, HCI (Human-Computer Interaction), Computer Science, or related field.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in UI/UX design, including web and mobile applications.
  • Experienced working in agile development environments and collaborating with product managers, engineers, and marketers.
  • Excellent knowledge of design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, InVision, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of design systems, accessibility standards, and user-centered design principles.
  • Familiarity with user research techniques and data-driven design decision-making.

Experience

  • Experienced in managing remote or cross-functional design teams.
  • Experienced in both B2B and B2C product design.
  • Knowledge of regional market differences and how they affect UI/UX preferences (e.g., cultural, linguistic, and accessibility considerations).
  • Proficiency in multiple design tools or prototyping platforms.
