Position Responsibilities
Design Development & Documentation
- Prepare and develop complete design documentation in atimely manner, including layout plans, 3D perspectives, detailed drawings, materials, furniture, equipment and technical specifications fornew outlet openings,revamp outlets, flagship or themed outlets, and ZUS Signature premium outlets.
- Occasionally prepare tender lot drawings for secured sites and develop hoarding visuals as required per project.
Cross-functional & External Coordination
- Coordinate closely with internal teams (Fit-Out, QS), key stakeholders (Operations, Marketing, Brand), and external parties (Architects, Consultants, Contractors, Suppliers) to ensure design feasibility, accuracy, and constructability.
Site & Construction Support
- Support construction or fit-out phases by resolving design-related site issues, addressing discrepancies, and responding to last-minute changes when required.
Design Standards, Compliance & Optimization
- Ensure all design outputs adhere tobrand standards, operational requirements, site-specific needs, and relevantlocal regulations(e.g., mall or authority guidelines).
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of internal design manuals, standard templates, and detail libraries to ensure consistency and efficiency across all projects.
- Continuously explore design optimizations that enhance cost-effectiveness and buildability, without compromising the integrity or identity of the brand.
Ad-hoc Duties
- Perform additional design-related tasks as assigned by the superior or management.
Quality Control of Submissions
- Ensuring all submitted drawings and documents meet visual, technical, and formatting standards before release.
Documentation Support
- Assist in organizing, archiving, and maintaining updated drawing sets, standard templates, and guideline documents across all projects.
- Provide light administrative support by managing department-related files and documentation.
Design Innovation & Stakeholder Liaison
- Proactively introduce new materials, finishes, or design ideas to improve aesthetics, functionality, or cost efficiency.
- Support communication and coordination with internal stakeholders or external parties (e.g., suppliers, contractors) on design-related discussions, sample sourcing, or minor negotiations.
Guidance & Onboarding
- Mentor and guide junior designers within the team, reviewing their drawings and offering design input when needed.
- Occasionally assist in onboarding new team members by guiding them through design standards, templates, or tools.
