Corporate Governance, Risk And Compliance Manager  

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Corporate Governance,Risk, andComplianceManagerto join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in corporate governance,riskmanagement, andcompliance, with the ability to collaborate with HODs to identify gaps and implement process improvements. The Corporate Governance,Risk, andComplianceManagerwill play a vital role in establishing effective governance structures,managingrisks, and promoting a culture ofcompliancethroughout the organisation.

Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement a comprehensive corporate governance framework to ensure effective decision-making, transparency, and accountability across the organisation.
2. Collaborate with HODs to identify areas for process improvement, develop action plans, and implement changes to enhance operational efficiency and mitigaterisks.
3. Conduct regularriskassessments to identify potentialrisks, evaluate their impact, and develop strategies to minimise or eliminate them.
4. Establish and maintain an effectivecomplianceprogram, ensuring that internal policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements are adhered to throughout the company.
5. Provide guidance and support to HODs in implementingcompliancemeasures, including training programs, policy development, and monitoring activities.
6. Develop and maintain strong working relationships with HODs to foster a culture of collaboration, open communication, and shared responsibility for governance,riskmanagement, andcompliance.
7. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of existing controls, policies, and procedures, recommending enhancements or modifications as needed.
8. Stay updated on industry best practices, regulatory changes, and emergingrisksin order to develop and implement relevantriskmanagement andcompliancestrategies.
9. Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management and the board of directors, highlighting key governance,risk, andcompliancemetrics, issues, and recommendations.
10. Conduct internal audits, as necessary, to ensurecompliancewith established policies and procedures, identifying areas of non-complianceand providing recommendations for improvement.

Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, law, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certifications in governance,risk, andcompliance(e.g., GRC, CCEP) are preferred.
2. Proven experience in corporate governance,riskmanagement, orcomplianceroles, preferably within the retail or hospitality industry.
3. Strong understanding of corporate governance principles,riskmanagement methodologies, andcomplianceframeworks.
4. Familiarity with relevant regulations and industry standards, such as data protection, health and safety, and quality management.
5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assessrisks, identify process gaps, and develop effective solutions.
6. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships, influence stakeholders, and facilitate collaboration.
7. Proactive mindset and ability to work independently, priorities tasks, and meet deadlines in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
8. Knowledge of internal audit practices and methodologies is a plus.
9. Proficiency in using governance,risk, andcompliancesoftware and tools.
10. High level of integrity, ethics, and confidentiality.
