Senior Executive, Payroll  

Position Responsibilities

  • Process monthly payroll and associated activities including payroll calculation, execution (salaries, leave, incentives and other compensation calculations), submission of statutory contribution and reconciliation.
  • Ensure on time processing of the scheduled payroll runs.
  • Resolve issues and errors that blocks the payroll run from completion.
  • Timely handle payroll-related inquiries or requests from employees and meet SLA requirements.
  • Assist on reconciliation process with associated reports, ensure compliance and accuracy of the payroll, ensure Posting to Finance process payments timely execution including bank file.
  • Prepare pre and post payroll related reports including payroll summary, headcount, staff sharing cost, and other ad-hoc report.
  • Assist on yearly form EA preparation and form E submission.
  • Responsible to monitor country statutory and legal changes and ensure the changes reflect on the payroll. This includes testing the payroll system and moving the changes to production system.
  • Provide enhancement suggestions to achieve seamless payroll process.
  • Ensure confidentiality and security of payroll information and maintain appropriate documentation and filing systems.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resource, Business Administration, or any related field.
  • 3-5 years of payroll experience, preferably handling 3,000+ employees in a large-scale organization.
  • Strong knowledge of HR processes, HRIS systems, labour laws, tax calculations and statutory regulations.
  • Strong Excel skills, capable of analyzing basic data and trends.
  • Experience in payroll audits and compliance reporting.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work collaboratively with HR, Finance, and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple payroll cycles within tight deadlines.
  • Capability to design and implement payroll process improvements for efficiency and accuracy.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
  • Experience in handling payroll for other countries is an advantage.
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of additional languages is an advantage.
